Those looking for a romantic dinner spot are advised to consider WATERMARK, a hallmark of Central’s Pier 7, where the iconic Star Ferry is berthed.

This harbourfront Cafe Deco Group all-day-dining restaurant debuted at Pier 7 in 2007. In 2018, it was closed for private events, but now it’s back in public business.

If you’re not booking in for the 270-degree harbour views, you should be for WATERMARK’s seafood-focused menu. Highlights include the seafood platter (HKD588/HKD998), a tower of Boston lobster, freshly shucked oysters, prawns, scallops, squid, and clams, grilled live Boston lobster (HKD250/HKD428), and grilled seasonal whole fish (HKD288).

For this with a carnivorous craving, WATERMARK serves up slow-cooked beef cheek (HKD258), dry-aged Angus rib-eye (HKD428), M7 Wagyu flat iron (HKD378), and many more meaty plates – all with price tags that don’t seem unreasonable considering the eatery’s location and quality ingredients.

You can toast to your WATERMARK dining experience with a glass of New or Old World wine, plus cocktails and mocktails that take their cue from the restaurant’s waterfront position.
