Hot on the heels of The Pizza Bar on 38th’s appearance at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, this June, celeb chef Daniel Boulud will be joining the hotel for a four-day pop-up event in July. Both the Pizza Bar on 38th and Terrace Boulud are set to debut at the hotel in 2026.
Chef Daniel is teasing diners on what’s come at his new Hong Kong penthouse restaurant with lunch (from HKD888 pp) and dinner (HKD2,088 pp) tasting menus that showcase the French chef’s signature culinary style: reinterpreting French classics with an Asian touch. The dinner tasting menu includes two glasses of wine.
The dishes featured on the Mandarin Grill + Bar menus from Jul. 9 through Jul. 12 are amongst the best-loved plates from the chef’s highly acclaimed restaurants in New York City. For instance, the thon au fenouil is a signature of Michelin-starred Le Pavillion, premium yellowfin tuna dusted with fennel pollen and served with socca and tonnato sauce, whilst the French-inspired crab cake comes courtesy of upscale steakhouse La Tête d’Or.
The binchotan-grilled pigeon is another highlight of the pop-up menus, as is the summery dessert of peach and lemon verbena vacherin.
