Although chef Cho Kwang-hyo’s pop-up dinners on Jul. 4, 5, and 6 at Honjokko were fully booked out within hours of reservations opening recently, there’s still good news for fans of the Netflix-famous Korean chef: his most in-demand dishes will be showcased at the Hong Kong restaurant throughout the month of July.

More casually known as the “Comic Book Chef,” chef Cho made a name for himself on Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars Korean cooking competition series for his innovative dishes that take their cues from Japanese manga. The chef’s Korean-Chinese restaurants, Chokwang 101 and Chokwang 201, have been surefire hits in Seoul from the get-go.

From Jul. 7 till Aug. 3, Hong Kongers can savour chef Cho’s most viral dishes on the menu at Honjokko, headlined by his signature Dongbo pork (HKD278) and Sichuan-style mapo tofu (HKD188) with fried rice.

Other limited-time dishes by chef Cho to devour include the Sichuan cucumber (HKD98), cold chicken salad (HKD148) with peanut sauce, cold fish salad (HKD198), uni stone pot rice (HKD288), and flower bun with tofu cream (HKD108), an ingenious dessert featuring a sugar-glazed fried bun filled with homemade tofu cream.
